Privacy policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

I collect as little personal information as possible, only for clear reasons, and I never sell it. This page explains, in plain language, what is collected on martin-champagne.com, why, who handles it and how you can exercise your rights.

Who is responsible

This site is operated by Martin Champagne, MC MEDIAS LLC.

Person in charge of the protection of personal information
Martin Champagne, Founder
[email protected]

What I collect and why

1. Contact form

When you write to me, I collect your name, email address, the type of need you select and your message. The form also records the date, the page language and your IP address, to prevent spam and abuse (a limit of a few messages per 10 minutes).

Purpose: to answer you and, if you wish, to follow up on your project. Your information is never used for newsletters or advertising without your separate consent.

2. Audience measurement (only with your consent)

If you click Accept in the privacy banner, I use Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to understand which pages help visitors. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. If you decline or do nothing, analytics cookies stay off. Advertising cookies are never activated.

Your choice is stored in your browser for 12 months. You can change it at any time with the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page.

3. Technical data

Like any website, the hosting server keeps technical logs (IP address, date, page requested) for security and proper operation. Fonts are hosted on this site: no request is sent to Google when a page loads.

Who can access it

Only me. To run the site, I rely on a few service providers who process data on my behalf:

  • Google LLC (United States): Gmail (receipt of form messages), Google Analytics and Tag Manager (with consent).
  • Hostinger: website hosting and server logs.
  • GitHub (Microsoft): hosting of the site's source code. It contains no visitor data.

These providers are located outside Québec. Before entrusting them with your information, I assessed that they offer adequate protection, and I share only what is necessary. I do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

How long I keep it

  • Form messages: up to 3 years after our last exchange, then deleted, unless a business relationship requires longer retention (for example, accounting records).
  • Analytics data: 14 months in Google Analytics.
  • Your cookie choice: 12 months in your browser.

Your rights

Under Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), you can:

  • know what information I hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • withdraw your consent at any time;
  • ask me to stop disseminating it or to delete it;
  • receive it in a structured, commonly used technological format.

To make a request, write to [email protected]. I answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with my answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Security and incidents

The site is served over HTTPS, the form credentials are stored outside the public web folder, and access to my accounts is protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication. If an incident involving your personal information presented a risk of serious injury, I would notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information promptly.

Changes

I will update this policy if my practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
